Now that we have seen sort of a lay of land how a Goldilocks template works, let's use a real example to set up a Goldilocks template using the Abbey layout, right? But before we actually go through the clicking of how to set this up, let's first describe what the template that we are trying to set up will look like. Then we'll record the actual clicking that's going to accomplish. So what we are trying to accomplish as far as a catalog is something like this, where we have a feature banner at the top, then we have a search along with search filters right below it, followed by three tiles, where the first tile, let's refer to this as 1A, is a list of links, followed by 1B and 1C, which are just tiles that take the user to different parts of the catalog. And then I'm going to have more rows of big tiles. Let's call this 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, and 4A, 4B, 4C. So the idea here is I'm going to go back up. So I'm going to have like at the top left corner, it's just a list of quick links followed by essentially 11 tiles, right? 11 tiles, meaning two on the first row and then a three by three. And each one of these might take the learner to a portion of the catalog or potentially take the user to a URL or take user to a group of courses or just take a user to one course that you want to do, right? So we'll cover all the examples. And what we were going to do is we are going to – let me just open a new browser. Let's just take a look at how we are going to line things up, right? So this is what a shift layout look like with everything already configured, right? So there are four dropdowns. There are some feature courses that's rotating. And there is just a bunch of other courses that's here. So this is a standard shift layout that you can basically enable with one click. And the only customization is the feature courses and the dropdown filters, right? So now that we understand what we are dealing with, let's just quickly map out what we are trying to do, right? So here is the slides of what we are trying to do. And out of those 11 slides, okay, what we have done is we have 11 images that we are going to use. So you need to have all the images ready. And I also created a mapping of what each tile is supposed to take the user. And then we're going to go through each one so that we see how to click on Oasis to establish the layout. But at least at this point, everybody understand what we are trying to do, what is the game plan, which is to use Goldilocks template with the Abbey layout to essentially set up the catalog that look like this, okay? All right. So we're going to next recording is going to be a little bit dry, a little bit long as we go through the click path to set this up. Thank you.
Video Summary
The video explains setting up a Goldilocks template using the Abbey layout for a catalog interface. The proposed design includes a feature banner, a search function with filters, quick links, and 11 tiles arranged in a grid to direct users to various catalog segments or courses. The speaker details the layout plan and prerequisites, such as ready-to-use images, before demonstrating the setup process. The aim is to use this template for efficient navigation within a catalog, with a focus on configuration nuances, especially involving the feature courses and dropdown filters. The forthcoming detailed walkthrough will cover the step-by-step setup.
